Water is pivotal in Persian culture. It is a window to the sky. In Iran, all traditional yards host pools. And, during Nowruz, a vase enlivened by goldfishes carries the New Year’s greetings. But in 2022, ravaged by wars, water can no longer reflect the light from above and the world’s vitality. The Sky is Bleeding holds clouds’ red tears, hoping that those drops will turn, once again, into fishes.
