Reflection

Curated by Ana Sofia S. Costa
People´s identity and character´s uniqueness in society, as well as their communications and affections, were always parts of my thoughts from my childhood. In this exhibition, my aim was to show various reflections of peoples by implementing a traditional Iranian-Islamic decorative architecture technique: Mirror Mosaic. From many centuries ago, this method was employed as a decoration mostly in Iranian holy places such as mosques. Mirror and water had an outstanding role in Iranian architectures. The broken projection of images in mirrors as well as their reflections creates unity and diversity both Together.
