My Persian Carpet

The Persian rug is one of the most famous symbols of Iranian art throughout history, and many people around the world use it every day in their life.
The fame of Persian rug is for the distinctive pattern which has been developed during 2000 years, it is made of repeating and combining various individual design such as flowers or animals. These patterns were formed based on the geographic and historical characteristics of designers or weavers.
The presented work is a collection of Persian rug patterns which was remembered from my childhood. I was playing on the rug with my toys and only could see a specific pattern. Here I have frozen some particular patterns in a cement frame with the help of handmade glass fiber.
